This week was better. After the last update i drew myself all the 30 pages which will be the start into the story, by now around 20 pages are nearly finished and 10 of them are still in progress and must evolve out of pencil lines.
Since I drew Boris at his work on the graveyard the drawing style for nightscenes has evolved too. So as an example I show you the 29 page of the comic, where Boris is at work and the next chapter follows. As you may recognise, I used fineliner as thin as 0.1 mm and more layers of lines. I really like how it looks but I´m still a bit unsure how I´ll combine it with the brighter day scenes. As an example of this conflict, I show you page 13 where Merle jumps off the ship and some lines I´ve done with the most thin pencil I got (on top on the sails). Most importantly I´ve to think about making it not too comlicated with too many lines. At night time I kinda like it and it for the bigger pictures it´s a nice way to draw. My weakness mostly: I add too many details so I gotta keep myself together.

As a little teaser for another character in the comic, I´ll also give you a lil tease I made when I had a little art block. I did not finish him until a short time ago and now finally got a version I kinda like. What his part is will not be revealed until the comic is out.

The plan for the coming week will be. Since the project is not so far with it´s goal, I´ll also have to promote a little bit more. That contains actions online and in real life. Until I got the 30 pages done I´ll not do too much but after them I´ll have more energy left. Since my project is nearly over it´s first half I recap my work until now. The coming weeks I´ll even have more time left. In Ocotber about 3 days will go of the planed scedule but thats also okay. Because with or without them I´ll have at least 60-70 pages. This is my minimum amount of pages, If I´m really energized and active, I can make it close to 100. But by now, the process finally feels like a daily work routine and I feel how happy I´m after every page I managed to do.
Personally I´m still a bit worried about my own chaotic way of doing this project. But since I managed to accept my way, I´m able to keep the chaos within one cluster and I see my drawings grow one by one. Sometime I fight with myself but I guess it is like this with every project. At one point you just gotta go and do it. Or as many allways say, at least try. But I look forward for the next pages and I´m exhieted to see more progress. My energy is back and contained for this task, so my hopes are high. It is indeed a ongoing dream and journey, never thought I´d get this far. Further on, stay curious and spread the word.
