Finally, I put my comic project on kickstarter and the campain is now running. I got time to create pages, think of ideas and work late night shifts. So I can happily inform you, that my comic: Kind Era- Volume 1 is officially in progress.
How will I go on with this?
Every week I try to give you a little bit of information how far I´ve come on the comic. You as a reader can contact me via kickstarter or my here if there are any questions. I´ll also give the link down below, so you´re able to support the comic and if you´re one of the fist ones, you can even get a physical version of the book. There are different rewards for supporting my project and with some you´ll get a big package of all my work.
So what´s the comic about?
The comic will include stories from different people, exactly 5 groups which the reader will follow along their ways as they make it throught a post- apocalyptic world. -these groups are outcasts of a society they do not even know. A society with goals different to theirs and a mentality, they don´t understand. Eventually they collide like worlds tend to do, shaken realities and split futures are the result.
It´s about what people in the past did wrong or different, and what shall come next. If a world gets a clean cut, a new beginning and again, different people amerge out of the chaos and destruction. It´s a comic with lots of life in it, many things will be almost random but connect together.
I´ll concentrate on some characters, as I think their story is more interesting. But I think this will develop within the comic and the characters will show naturaly.
All the 5 groups have 1 charakter who tells their story, every one of them has an own style. With the help of their style, you as a reader will know whos telling. One of them has a clean style, the other one more messy or with metal bits as frames and maybe the third one has an organic shaped style.
On my kickstarter you see a short version of all these styles in recap. As soon as the first Volume is out or inbetween my progress, I´ll tell more about the styles in time, the detailed stuff will be on this website.
Now that the first week passed by, I got used to working daily on my project and get the energy I need. Not only that I found out how to do my routine, I also had a lot of good ideas for the comic- book design and further on things I didn´t consider. That means I decided how to do my chapterpages, created around 15 new comic pages and did a new chapterpage as well.
This is the first chapter page I made, when I did not even know it will be one. It´s Merle, one of the main characters with her mate Bobby. Since Bobby became such a nice name in my vocabulary, I decieded to give all of the ship members a picture with Bobbyand those will be the chapter pages.

This week I also talked with my local comic store and there was a new idea I did not even consider in the first place. I´ll propably sent my comic to Luzern, Zürich and Bern too. So next week I´ll be researching about this option and talk to other comic- stores. I kinda like the idea to give versions to other parts of switzerland. I´m looking forward to see the idea grow!
Also, since this week passed by I got a whole new understanding on putting my comic out into the world. Lots of people I was talking to gave me new ideas, motivation and appreciation. Even If I´m still feeling strange about it, I´m getting more and more exhieted to create new pages and go on this journey, also with you guys. It is nearly abstract and out of reach but every time I get input like this week, I feel more happy about it.
